Nors little girl calls herself Patsy Bates and
calls me Bapa Bates, and Mother Mama Bates.
She calls Helen Muddie dear. I dont remember what
she calls Nor. She is a very dear little kid, and
shows her good sense by liking her Bapa. She
likes to ride in the automobile on the front seat and
toot the horn.

Jos is going to give a dinner party to Thornton
Davis and Marion whose betrothal cards have
been issued at which Bab Eishen & Nes will be
present. I think there are six young people
invited making eight at the table. It takes
place tonight and I gave Jos some gin for
cocktails.

Mother & I dropped in to wish Dr. Reed a Happy
New Year and he says there is only one thing better
than two years at Brooklyn Hospital and that
is three years !!

As Nor & Dick were up Xmas to New Years
I took a vacation for a few days so as to get
acquainted, and enjoyed it very much.

There is little news. The weather is still cold
and the rain is holding off, but it is not as
cold as it was. We have kept the house warm
all winter but at considerable expense.

Heaps of love to you dear old Sned and Betty.
We are all longing for the time when we shall see
you both.
