looked like boys failed completely!
He took us into Deposit and we
got a room and slept in a real
bed, only I had worked myself
up into such a state of nerves
that I couldn't sleep. The whole
thing was exciting to look back on
but terrible to go through. From
Deposit we came straight through
to New York in two hitches, one a
touring car and one a limousine —
two hundred miles in one day.

Another night we slept in a
hay field, two acres square, and
at about eleven o'clock three boys
and a dog combed the field for us,
we heard them saying "They just
got to get out of here or we'll get the
constable after 'em" They found us
and were to embarassed to death.
