no where — very pleasant but that's all. Life means more
than just that — petting or necking parties — even the
most giddy flapper prefers men who do things — that's
why you favorably impressed the Briggs contingent and
Gladys Anderson — who are really not flappers except at
times. So I hope Dick won't ask me to take them.
Well, that's that.

You were darn good to leave that bottle here
and I don't see why you needed to as it would
have been an interesting exhibit among the medicas.
However it is all gone now and I will remember
your generosity long after the wine has been superceded
by new prescriptions. Wish I could have been along
with you on your canyon hike. Feel like ditching
everything anyway & returning to New York. Marion
Reynolds
will come to see you one of these days. He went to
Harvard with me — exshtunalty[exhaustedly] brilliant fellow, has been
secretary to an English nobleman, been all over S. America,
way of the Amazon, etc; an interesting talker — I
like him and you may. His sister says he & I
are cracked — we need to ring, now we only rattle!
Stays at Harvard Club, I believe. His address (office) is
Room 1853 at 120 Broadway. However he'll drop in one
