Celles coming home and
the hill was so steep coming
through the village that I was
only able to keep my car from
running away. Couldn't have
stopped. Was running in high
and on compression, had my
hand brake back as far as
it would go and the foot break [brake]
was no use. If the hill had
gotten any steeper I would
have had to run into a wall.
I had never been over the road
before, so believe me I was
worried and was mighty glad
when I came out on the
main road and knew where I
was. It had stopped raining,
and the moon was shining
through the clowds [clouds] a little.
