Tom Manton. Beautiful
moonlight night. Came home
by Pont Arcy with Gennings
to show him the road. Coming
home from Braine we
saw a fire at Mt. Notre
Dame so drove over there,
and found that six barricks
had burned. The fire started
in the opperating room.
Much heavy artillery on the road for a new offensive.

Tuesday Oct. 30 '17.

Finished fixing up our
place in the barricks. Put
the stove up, shelves, and
curtened the place off with
canvas. Had supper in
the barricks. Jack Presley
came down in the evening
and we played "five hundred."

Worked all day cleaning
car for inspection tomorrow.
