"Carried on" with the Vickers in the
morning. Went on the range in the
afternoon. Fired on wrong target.
A fierce thunder and rain storm
in the evening. Got soaked while
on the way to school.

Wednesday May 8 '18.

Didn't go on the range this
afternoon because of rain. Answered
Hazel's letter this evening in school.

Thursday May 9 '18.

Went on the range in the afternoon.
Won second money, 15 francs, and
won 32 francs from Pery Patton
at a 1/2 franc a point. Beat him
by 64 points. Herb and I had
dinner with Clare Lorey at the
artillery school.
