It cleared up so that I started out
at 2 P.M. in a machine that had
just come from the shop and had
never been tried. She turned up all
right on the ground so I tookoff.
It went fine up to about 400 meters
when my engine started missing. I
tried to climb on up and got to
600 when I couldn't get any higher.
I had gotten almost to Chattau-Renault
when [deleted]she dropped d[deleted] the engine
droped down. I was about halfway
Salome but decided to turn back.
I landed and had two cold
silenders. The mechanics put in
two new spark plugs and I
took off again. This time I only
got a little past Mouey when
the engine went bad on me
again. When I peaked to land
the engine threw oil in my
face and I couldn't see a
thing [deleted]out of[deleted] through my
goggles. I tried wipping them
with my clove which made
them worse. I yanked off
