the same old Paris as when
I left it six months ago. When
we were pulling into the city my
heart beat like as if were pulling
in Berkeley instead of a city where
I knew no one, as all my friends
have left. We washed up at the
hotel and then went to the Casino
de Paris and saw a good show,
and drank much champaign,
and had a wonderful time.

Went to the American Express
and went through my trunk getting
the clothes that I have wanted
ever since I left Paris.

On the way from the hotel to
the station I lost my pocket book with
a $20.00 bill and 100 francs in it besides
my commission and active orders,
and orders for me to Issoudun.
Some luck! Left Paris at 10:03
and arrived at Issoudun 1:57.
Passed by a big train wreck where
26 persons were killed and over
100 ingured. About six coaches
