Got asigned to Browns line
this morning, but didn't get
up. -- Ott and Carmack were killed
this afternoon. Ott was a testor and
Carmack was one of our bunch
from St. Maxient. They went
into a [deleted]vree[deleted] vrille about a hundred meters
off of the ground.

Saturday Aug 10, '18.

Went to Ott, and Carmack's funeral.
The services were very impressive. Much
more than Schreiber's as Schreiber's were
Catholic and Ott's and Carmack's were Protestant.

Hanes, Clover and myself went
down town to stay overnight.

I got twenty two minutes flying
this morning. These ships are great.
The Twenty Three Newport beats the
Caudron seven ways.

Got a good rest in a real
bed last night. Feel full of pep
