to get out from Issoudun. Harry Webb
went down to meet him in the Y.M. Ford.
The Ford broke down but they got out
O.K. anyway. Everything went off
smoothly at the funeral, but it was an
ordeal that I hope that I will never have
to go through again.

Sunday Sept. 1, 1918.

Got a pass for Limoges. All Cree,
Lare Lawrence, Herb. Kendall, and
Brownie and I started out. We had
a nice trip down, and two good
meals.

Monday Sept. 2, 18.

Didn't get up until 10:30. The train
left at 12:14 so didn't see much of the
town. Got home at 6 P.M. dead tired
physically, but mentaly much rested.

Tuesday Sept 3, 18.

Went on my cross country trips
this morning. Enjoyed them emensly.
Had no trouble. I was the only one of
five fellows to go this morning that
didn't break something in landing. I first
went to Romarantin and back, then
to Pontlevoy and back. Both trips
took about two hours. I didn't fly this
afternoon as my stomach is on the
bum. I started to feel sick to my
stomach [deleted]when[deleted] while I was coming
back from Pontlevoy. I flew over
