I want to wish everybody a
"Merry Christmas". Don’t make
it a gloomy day because I am
not home because that doesn’t
do any good. We will make
things cheerful here for our-
selves even if we are thousands
of miles from home. I havn’t
given up hopes yet of eating
next Xmas dinner at home even
if things are pointing towards
a longer war.

Well I will close now sending
my love to everybody.
