we had plenty of music Neuwied is quite
a town. Never had much time to take
in the town as we left night after
the game. Our company team played
the 49th Co yesterday afternoon and
were beaten - 31-0. Nearly every one
in the Co had a bet upon the game.

We had a little over twelve
thousand francs up. The 49th can
sure celebrate now. It has been pretty
cold here lately. The creek is frozen
up & one can skate on it in a
good many places. Is it that cold
at home? Was sorry to hear about
Mr. Hixon & the Sheehy girl dying. The
Flu must be a good deal worse in
the states than it is over here. It
dont seem to be very bad over here
now. I have still got that postal
money order and am going to try
and get it cashed by the Chaplain.

Haven't rec'd any papers for
quite a while I get my other mail
pretty regular though. Well I can't
think of any thing more so guess
