Dear mother

Your letter written on the
19th of april was received several
days ago. Also rec'd one from Ida
written a few days later. Our
company has moved out of Nied-
erbreitbach to this burg Kurt-
scheid. It is about five kilometers
from Need a brick bat upon
about the highest spot around
here. We releived a company
of the 32nd Division that was
staying here. They are on their
way back to the states by now
I guess. We had considerable
cold weather and snow here for
awhile but the last week it
has been real warm. Every thing
is sure green and pretty now. All
the fruit trees are bloomed out. Wish
you were here to see the country
