Dear Ma,

This is the nearest thing like home I
have seen yet. Yesterday we got liberty from 11.30 am
till to night at 7.30 pm. This club is something like
the ones for the sailors and soldiers in the city.
Women run it and every amusement is free, they
have reading matter, pool tables, pianoes and
victrolas. The main thing is the eats which you
pay two bits a meal. For lunch they gave us
a nice cucumber and tomatoe salad, roast pork,
mashed potatoes, green peas, hot buns with lots
of butter, ice cream and milk. The reason every
thing taste so good these women cook it right
here and it is just like home. I had supper
here and it was great. Some of the men are
just finishing there ham and eggs now at
