so I wrote to Henery Maas my old
foreman at Henrix's place. He sent
back a good recomendation in a few
day from Capt. Henrix himself. The
day before I got it they changed me
into the gun crew so now I can't
use it.

Glad to hear you took in the
Orpheum which I suppose you
enjoyed very much and going auto
riding, getting kind of sporty
in your old age huh.

What is a matter with Elmo telling
you he is going to turn over a new
leaf? He better hurry up and get started.

It is the same old thing down here
only since I got changed the drilling
is somewhat different. We have
some row boat drilling and work on
the big guns most of the time. But
since my twenty one days are up
at the detention camp we have
some privledges and can use the Y.M.C.A. hall
