Dear Lydia,

just a line to let
you know I recieved [received] your letters
of Oct [October] 31^st Nov [November] 1^st and was
glad to hear from you and also
recieved [received] Taids letter and the
book he sent me it was just
what I wanted and I also
recieved [received] the box of cakes and other
things you sent me they sure
did taste good to me and the
Boys. Herb Johnson & Herb Porter
and I ate the Cake and candy
and I gave some of the Boys
some of the cookies they were
all pleased to get some of them.
