Dear Mother,
Just a line to let
you know I am still in Texas and
think that we will be here all
winter. I should worry how are
you and all the folks I hope
you and all are well and happy
as I am this is sure a fine
climate believe me it is the only
place for a farmer to make
a good living and there is
lots of good land here to be
taken up yet and a man
can always get a good
flowing well on any piece
of the land that he takes
up down here there are all
kinds of business opening
