Say Ted I am putting the receipt
for the insurance of Lydia's package
in this letter so you can give it to
her in case she does not get the
package she can collect the insurance
on it I also put my old watch in
that package and those pins that
Lydia wanted I hope that she will
get it O.K.

Well Ted I did not get transferred
and am just as well satisfied that
I did not as I think I will get
ahead in this Squadron just as
quick as any other one on the first
of February the number of this
Squadron will be the 495th Aero
Squadron instead of the 83rd Aero
Squadron I think that we will leave
here soon I do not know how soon
it will be but hope it will be soon as
I have seen all of Texas that I want
to see for a while I want to see
some of the Country now and am
getting anctious [anxious] to see them send
us to some other place Herb is
beginning to feel the same way about it.
