Dear Ted,
Just a few lines to let you
know that I am at Morrison Virginia
now it is only six miles to New Port
News that is the place where you said
you might be sent to it sure is a fine
climate here in this part of Virginia
I know that you would like it here
if ever they do send you here.

The ground is covered with snow and
ice it is not as cold as one would think
it would be the trees down here when
they are covered with snow and ice
it sure is a wonderful site to look
at if you have never seen it before.

I think that Virginia is sure a good
State the bad weather will soon be
over with here about the 15th of this
month they say.
