Dear Lydia,
Just a few lines to let
you all know that I am well and
having a good time and also to
let you know that I received the
Box that you and the folks sent me
I think that it was sure a fine
Box don't you that box of candy
that you sent me was sure fine
and also the box that Mrs. West sent
me and the cake it was sure a good
one it was not broken at all when
I received it I got it just the same
way that you packed it in the
box I did not get the box of cigars
that Dad sent yet but hope that I
will get them soon did he have
them insured let me know in
your next letter will you.
