OCTOBER 1. Tues
Very nice again to day. Lew done sundry
chores in the forenoon such as changing
the pigs around some and cleaning up about
the door yard and shop etc. and in the afternoon
went to town to get coal and some
sacks. I mowed pretty steady all day
over on the hill piece

OCTOBER 2. Wed
A lovely day. I finished cutting
the alfalfa over on the hill that I want to
cut now in the forenoon and took Mr
Dixon s buggy home but brought it back
again and in the afternoon I took a load of
coal up to the stacks on the windy hill place and
done a lot of small jobs. Lew raked all day.
