Weather very nice clear and still with thermoniter [thermometer] marking 16 [degrees] at 7 AM. Dave and Alex hauled hay fer [for] sheep and cattle in the forenoon and Dave went to town in the afternoon. Alex chased around the barn some this afternoon. I fixed up a couple of stove griddles and that was most that I done.

A good deal warmer to day the thermometer 50 [degrees] and the wind blew pretty briskly pretty much all day. We all kept Sunday pretty well for us. Alex went to town and brought out the mail. I sat the water running into the cistern just about sundown and have 2 1/2 feet to fill up which was effectually done and now the cistern is full again.
