Before me Jason Niles an acting Justice of the Peace of said County, this day came W. J. Young, who made oath that the spirituous liquor bought by him from Dr E. H. Anderson and for which Dr A. was indicted, was bought strictly for medicinal purposes and so used: that he is a druggist in Kosciusko and succeeded in getting the liquor only by an earnest representation of his great need of it for com-pounding medicines, and medicinal purposes and of his inability to procure it any where else:
