Davenport's Cavalry Battalion, Mississippi Militia (Confederate) was organized in the summer of 1863 in Itawamba and Tishomingo Counties, Mississippi under the command of Maj. Stephen Davenport and served in the Western Theater. In the fall of 1863 it was merged into the 6th Regiment, Mississippi Cavalry.
