The 58th Regiment, Ohio Infantry (Union) was organized on October 1, 1861 – January 28, 1862 at Camp Chase, Ohio under the command of Col. Valentine Bausenwein and served in the Western Theater in the Army of the Tennessee. It was mustered out of service at Vicksburg, Mississippi on September 16, 1865.
