Company E of the 58th Regiment, Ohio Infantry was organized between October 9 and December 26, 1861 at Camp Chase, Columbus, Ohio under the command of Capt. Albert Stehley and served in the Western Theater. It was later commanded by Capt. Peter B. Kaufman. It was mustered out of service in Vicksburg, Mississippi on September 16, 1865.
