The 14th Ohio Independent Light Artillery Battery (Union), also known as Burrows’ Battery, was organized on September 10, 1861 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio under the command of Capt. Jerome B. Burrows and served in the Western Theater. It was later commanded by Capt. William Cary Myers. It was mustered out of service on August 11, 1865. (National Park Service-Battle Units; Wikipedia)
