The Tishomingo Rangers (Confederate) (also known as Capt. Inge’s Company and Capt. Duncan’s Company) was organized as an independent cavalry company in Corinth, Tishomingo County (in present-day Alcorn County), Mississippi under the command of Capt. William M. Inge and served in the Western Theater. It was later commanded by Capt. John N. Duncan. It was accepted into State service on February 20, 1861 and later into Confederate service when it served in the 12th Battalion, Mississippi Cavalry in May 1863.
