Description

The 19th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry (Confederate), also known as Pope Walker Legion, was organized May 14, 1861 in Richmond, Virginia under the command of Col. Christopher H. Mott and served in the Eastern Theater under Wilcox's, Featherston's, Posey's, and Harris' Brigades in the Army of Northern Virginia. It was later commanded by Cols. Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar, Nathaniel H. Harris, Thomas J. Hardin, and Richard W. Phipps.
