Since making our proposition we have learned that a large mercantile firm, with whom we formerly did business in New York City, has established a branch in Memphis. They, together with the other influencers we expected to controll will render our prospects of success still more Certain & prompt in getting out the Cotton Cards.
The letter of Mr. A. S. Humphries to your-self, was written with our Knowledge & approval—; and if the change he sug-gested meets your views more fully, we would readily adopt it.
