This will be handed you by my special friend Mr A. S. Humphries, of this city, to whom I had the pleasure of introducing you, a few days after yr arrival in this city—Mr Humphries, has some idea amoung others of tending his services to you as [?] in procur-ing cards for the poor of the State. He is a gentleman of ample means, first rate business capacity. And in every repect an honorable Gentleman, in whom you may place implicit confidence—If he should get a contract you may sleep soundly upon it for he will discharge his part of it. with integrity ofidelity
