Greensboro Mi May 30^th 1864

His Excellency Charles Clark Governer & c

Dr Sir—I am requisted by Dr. Turner to enclose you his recommend=ation & Bond as a dispenser of Spirits and liquors in this County—The officers of the County have heretofore recommended Tho C. Atkins, but I see the law provides for two and it is thought that two will be needed in this county—and in the event that there is two needed in this county these two gentlemen are as good appointments as could be made in the county—Dr Turner the present applicant resides some 14 miles from Greensboro & Tho C. Atkins resides within about 3 miles of the town—both of them in densly populated neighborhoods
