Meeting of Council held 21st February 1902 Present Crs Dorward (in the chair) Bruce Puckridge Barraud & OShanahan Minutes of last meeting were read & confirmed Cr Puckridge Prop Cr Barraud Sec. That Messrs Varley & Evan be asked for explanation as to how the Council lost Roads & Rabbits Cases that were laid according to their draft information in Court in January Date to be supplied For Crs Puckridge Barraud & Chairman Carried Agst Crs Bruce & OShanahan Clerk was asked for a copy of letter to Surveyor general re Smith land but he had no copy Clerk instructed to write again tomorrow & keep a copy of letter - Also to send reports of meetings to the papers on the Wednesday following the meeting Chairman read the Financial statement Correspondence Telegram from WT Mortlock Stating that Commissioner would advance amount Main Road asked for in Main Roads A/c but that for & Special Grants the Special Grants no funds were available Com of Crown Lands Stating that the Councils portion of Main Roads Grant
