Post Office at Coffin Bay
EHD Russell, MHR Advising that the Deputy Director of P. & Telegraph has approved of a Non-Official Post Office be established at Coffin Bay
This will operate as from 2nd September 1946 and will be in be
charge of Mr MT Morgan. Received

Corporation Re Tourist Roads
Corporation of Pt Lincoln - Stating that following the recent Conference with Council in reference to Grants for Tourist Roads - that Mr DK McDonald stated that he would be prepared to tender for work on the Coffin Bay Road, if a grant were made available, and asking to be advised what action has been taken by the Council in regardto Coffin Bay, Winters Hill and Sleaford Roads.
Clerk was instructed to reply - That advice received by the Council was that McDonald could not undertake any road Contract for some considerable time, until his present Contracts are completed, and as there is no plant available to do this road at present - no application has been made for a Grant.
A Grant of £300 has been approved by Commr Highways for
repairs to Winters Hill Road, who understands that the Corporation of P.L. will make their Tractor available to the Council for this work.
Sleaford Road - The Councillor for this Ward and Overseer
have marked out a proposed Site for a new road from the bend in the present road for approximately 3 miles in a direct line to Sleaford Bay, for submitting to Highways Dept for approval.

Land for Widening Morlock St Cummins
AE Siviour Cummins - with forms - Application for Consent to Purchase, and Contract Notes in duplicate of 1 Acre 20 Purches, recently Surveyed by CL Alexander for the purpose of widening Mortlock Street leading to the land for a Show Ground, and offered to Council for that purpose @ 12 per Acre - For Councils consideration and agreement.
Prop Cr Ford/Sec Cr Smith} That Council purchase this land for the widening of Morlock Street for the Sum of £13.10.0 and the
Forms received be signed accordingly. Carried.
