Description: Forsyth thanks Mrs. Sewall for her letter of congratulations and good wishes on a successful exhibition in Chicago. He expresses his hope that this show is only a beginning and that the future will bring more recognition to artists in Indiana. William Forsyth was a member of the "Hoosier Group" of painters which included T.C. Steele, Otto Stark, J. Ottis Adams and Richard Gruelle. He was a member of the Board of Directors and on the faculty of the John Herron Art Institute.
