Queen's University November 8th 1879

The Senate met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Grant, Professors Williamson,
Mowat, Dupuis and Watson

The minutes of the meetings held Oct 11th
and Oct 15th were read and sustained.

[margin]matriculants in Theology[/margin]

It was found that the following students named
in the order of merit had passed the matriculation
examination in Theology viz. George McArthur,
William E D'Argent, and Robert Nairn.

It was found that the scholarships in Theology
had been gained as follows:

Dow $100 - G. McArthur - matriculation
Dominion $80 - WE D'Argent - matriculation
Buchanan - $80 - R. Nairn - matriculation
Church of Scotland (2) $60 - James Ross - 2d year
Church of Scotland (3) $60 - GC Patterson - 3d year

[margin]vaccination of students[/margin]

Small pox being in Kingston and the
neighbourhood it was resolved that all students
of the University be required to be vaccinated
within the next ten days. Prof Dupuis was requested
to arrange with the Professors of the
RCP&S that the fee for vaccination by them
be only twenty five cents.
