Mayonaisse.
Two whole eggs - beaten light
1 teaspoon mustard, 2 teas. sugar
1/4 teas. salt, pinch cayenne pepper
1/2 cup vinegar. Butter size
of an egg - let butter melt
stir in with the rest and
let come to a boil. Take
off then and beat about
five minutes.
Meat Pie.
Make a piecrust, take meat
put on to boil, in small
pieces, till real tender. Salt
and pepper, a little onion,
piece of carrot, piece of parsnip,
chop vegetables real fine and
put in meat. [About] A
little flour stirred in a
little water and poured in
(Most meats take about 1/2 hrs. to cook.
Then bake in pie crust about 15 min.
