Ayers Root Beer.
Two lbs sugar dissolved in
water in a large size bowl. (About
enough water to fill eight
good sized bottles) Then empty
the half bottle of the Beer into
this. Dissolve 1 cake yeast
in a little water & pour in -
(Water should not be very cold)
Then bottle and let stand
ten hours before using
[Sol's?] preparation for
Pie plant.
Slice in thin slices and let it
stand over night in salt
water. Then squeeze out
and dip in egg first and
then in cracker crumbs -
then fry and serve hot -
