Red beet soup
Peel and cut the beets in
small pieces - let them
boil down - season with
salt, pepper sugar and
vinegar. Stir in flour
and yolk of egg to thicken.
Sweet and sour fish.
Cut fish into pieces.
Put in cold water with
seasoning of slices of lemon,
carrots, parsnips, celery &
parsley, few cloves, pepper
and salt. When this boils
add vinegar, sugar, tables.
mollasses, few raisens &
season to taste.
When done take out fish
lay on platter - garnish
