The yolks are used
for the sauce which
is prepared with
milk & sugar and
stirred constantly -

Devils Cake -
1 cups brown sugar
1/2 " butter
2 eggs
2 squares grated chocolate Bakers
1 cup sour or butter milk
1/2 cup boiling water
1 teaspoonful baking soda

Vanilla
Cream butter & sugar, then add two
whole eggs. Some milk. take quarter
pan place soda in it, & dissolve
in hot water, then add grated chocolate
& stir this all in batter. Finally
add flavoring & flour.
