Fruit Cake
one pound brown sugar
one pound of butter
one pound of browned flour
2 pounds of currants
2 pounds of raisins
one pound citron
one pound of organs peal
one pound lemon peal
twelve eggs four nutmegs
one large table spoon cinnamon
one of mace and one of cloves
one of allspice, one teaspoon soda
sift the spices and mix in a cup
one wine glass of wine and one
of brandy and one of milk
dissolve the soda in milk
and mix with the brandy, stir
sugar and butter to a cream
beat yolks of eggs and whites
of eggs to a froth flour the fruit
well, bake 2 1/2 or 3 hours
