Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup butter or half butter, half Lard
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda Sifted in flour
2 eggs
2 cups of oatmeal
4 tablespoons sweet milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cream butter & lard
and sugar together
put in eggs and beat
put in cinnamon
put in the milk and
stir in oatmeal & flour
which has been added soda & salt
drop in teaspoons ful
an inch or more apart.
choped raisins and nuts
makes them fine.
