Sour Cream Spiced Cake
(Radio Kitchen Recipe)

Cream 1/2 c shortening
2 c light brown sugar (added grad.)
Separate 3 eggs
Beat egg yolks
Sieve together 1 3/4 c. cake flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t soda
1 t bak. powder
2 t cinnamon
1 t cloves
1 t all spice
Add - 1 c sour cream
alternately with dry ingred.
Lastly add: beaten egg whites
Bake in 2 layers - mod. oven 250
Cover with boiled icing and
chopped nuts.
