Throught these 24 Hours strong SE Trades and
fair weather steering S. S. W. at 7 A. M. carried
away the Martingale Guys. Hands employed in
repairing damages &. &.

Saturday, Sept. 15th, 1838.

Commences with strong Trades from the S E.
and pleasant.

Middle & Latter Hours Fresh gales steering S. S. W.
saw a Bark ship steering to the South.

Sunday, Sept. 16th, 1838.

Throught these 24 Hours fresh gales from the E. S. E.
and squally steering S S W. at 6 P. M. carried
away the Fore Royal yard sent it down and
unbent the Sail. So ends.
