Commences with light airs from the north
at 4 A. M. made sail steering by the wind to
the Eastward. at 10 Do. tacked to the west spoke
ship Condor of New Bedford Harding master
1 whale this 2 season at 2 P. M. spoke ship Fanny
of Sag Harbor. 4 whales

Middle & Latter Hours fresh breezes steering to the west.
at 7 Do. took in sail Heading N W. by W.

Saw several Fin backs but no Right whales.

So ends at 6 P. M. finished Boiling

Latitude Obs. 35" 54 South. longitude per. watch 23" 38. west.

Tuesday Nov. 27th 1838.

Commences with strong breezes from the northward
and squally steering by the wind to the westward
at 4 P. M. boarded the Fanny and took from
her a spare Top mast. at 7 P. M. the wind
hauling to the west took in sail.

this Day stowed Ferces [?] of sperm oil in the
Fore Hatch Larboard side aft aft likewise
85 bbls. of whale oil on the starboard side aft
Saw 1 Right whale going fast and many Fin
backs So ends.

Latitude Obs. 36" 04. South. Longitude per watch 24" 50 west.

Wednesday Nov. 28th 1838.

Commences with strong breezes from the west and
smoaky steering by the wind to the northward
untill 7 A. M. Tacked to the south spoke ship
Connecticut Crocker master. 2 whales

Middle Hours more moderate at 4 P. M. saw 1
Right whale chaised but could not fasten
Hands employed in cleaning Bone

Latter Hours calm 5 ships in sight but 1 boiling

So ends
