All of these 24 Hours light winds from the S E. steering
by the wind to the N. & E.

Hands employed in Painting Ship Sail Maker in making a
Fore Course of a main one.

Latitude Obs. 29" 26 South. Longitude per. watch 21" 12 west.

Sunday, March 17th, 1839.

Commences with light winds from the S E. steering
by the wind to the N. & E. at 2 P. M. the wind veering
to the Eastward Tacked Ship to the S. & E.

middle & Latter Hours strong breezes and cloudy.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 31" 15 South. Longitude by acc. 20" 52 west.

Monday, March 18th, 1839.

Commences with moderate breezes from the Eastward
steering by the wind to the Southward at 10 P. M.
the wind veering to the north steered S E.

Hands employed in repairing Old Sails.

Tuesday, March 19th, 1839.

Commences with moderate breezes from the north and
fair weather steering SE. at 2 P. M. spoke Ship Hannibal
of Sag Harbor Lewis Bennet Master 900 blls whale 90 Do. Sperm
bound to the west. middle & Latter Hours strong breezes
the wind veering to the N E.

So ends.
