and Foggy steering S E. by E untill 5 A. M. steered
S. S. E. Carpenters employed in sawing an Old Top
Sail yard for Beds.

Sunday March 24th, 1839.

Commences with fresh breezes from the N. N. W and
Foggy stearing S. S. E.

middle & Latter Hours strong breezes and smoaky
with light Rain.

Monday, March 25th, 1839.

Commences with strong breezes from the N N W steering
S. S. E. at 4 P. M. the wind hualed to the west steered
S E middle Hours moderate and clear

Latter Hours the wind hauled back suddenly to the
N. N. W Steered E. S. E

Hands employed in repairing a spare Fore Top Sail

Tuesday, March 26th, 1839.

Commences with moderate breezes frm the N. N. W. and
cloudy steering E. S. E.

Middle & Latter Hours clear the wind veering to the est
Hands employed in repairing a spare main Top Sail
& Painting Boats.

Latitude Obs. 42" 25. South Longitude per watch 1" 27 East.

Monday March 25th, 1839. found by Observation that the Ship
was 6 Degrees 4 miles to the Eastward of D. Reckoning which
I make no account of but commence from the Obsn. of that Day.
crossing the meridian of Greenwich by calculation at 11H. 30 Min. P. M.
