Squally from the mountains.

Carpenters employed in making a mizen Top Sail yard

Saturday June 29th, 1839.

Commences with lights airs from the North and pleasant
Sent out 2 Boats to ascertain about the wind & weather
they returned stating that the wind was light but a Swell
broke across the mouth of the Bay.

Carpenters employed in finishing a mizen Top Sail yard
hands in sending up the Fore Top Gallant mast & yard
likewise Rigging out the Fly Jib Boom.

So ends.

Sunday, June 30th, 1839.

Commences with light airs from the North and
fair weather.

Middle & Latter Hours fresh gales from the SE and
Squally.

So ends.

Monday July 1th, 1838.

Throught these 24 Hours fresh gales from the SE. and
Squally.

Carpenters employed in building a Hog House.

So ends.

Tuesday July 2th, 1839.

All of these 24 Hours Strong gales from the S.S.E. and Squally
the Ship dragging her anchors off bent a cutting Fall to the
stream anchor and let that go and with the 3 ahead
She stops the bottom being of soft mud the anchors take
no hold. Carpenters employed in making a main yard.

So ends.

Wednesday July 3dth, 1839.

Commences with fresh gales from the S.S.E. and Squally
Middle & Latter Hours more moderate and clear
Carpenters employed in making a Spare Fore yard.

So ends.
