First part strong breezes from the NW and clear
steering S. S. W. Middle Hours the wind hauled to the
South tacked Ship to the west.

Latter Hours the wind veered to the Eastward Steered
SW. by W. through the Night. Saw nothing but Fin backs
this Day water green.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 40" 12 South. Longitude by acc. 167" 20 west.

Friday, Nov. 22th, 1839.

All of these 24 Hours fresh gales from the Eastward
and clear Steering SW. by S. untill 8 A. M. steered
SW. by W. untill meridian Steered S. by W through
the Night. Saw several Fin Backs but no Right
whales many Birds water green.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 40" 51 South. Longitude per watch 169" 06 w

Saturday, Nov. 23dth, 1839.

All of these 24 Hours Strong breezes first part from the
Eastward steering S. by E. Middle & Latter Hours from the
North Steered W by S untill 6 P M. hauled by the wind
heading W. by N through the Night.

Saw nothing this Day water green.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 42" 23 South. Longitude per watch 170" 03 west.

Sunday, Nov. 24th, 1839.

All of these 24 Hours strong breezes from the North
and clear steering by the wind to the west.
Saw 2 Fin Backs. water light green few Fowl & Birds.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 42" 09 South. Longitude per watch 172" 59 west.

Monday, Nov. 25th, 1839.

All of these 24 Hours strong gales from the North
and cloudy lying too heading to the westward
Saw nothing this Day water green.

So ends.
