moored the Ship. Latter Hours light airs from the
SE. took on Board this Day 83 blls of water 8 large
Hogs and 30 Bushel of Potatoes at the rate of about
2 Heads of Tobacco and Hogs averageing about 170lbs
8 lobs of Powder. So ends
Thursday, Dec. 12th, 1839.
All of these 24 Hours light airs from the North
and fair weather at 2 A. M. maned 3 Boats
and Sent them down to a Bay called Vytackay
at 11 Do. they returned with a full Load of Potatoes
& one Hog. Hands employed in Blacking the Bends.
So ends.
Friday, Dec. 13th, 1839.
First part Calm Middle Hours light winds from the
SE Latter Hours Strong breezes at 4 P. M. the Boats
returned with only 30 Baskets of Potatoes.
at 5 Do. Sent on Shore 15 Casks for water.
So ends.
Sunday, Dec. 15th, 1839.
First part strong breezes from the South and cloudy
Middle & Latter Hours more moderate the wind
veering to the Eastward at 10 A. M. sent half the crew
on Liberty at Sunset they returned.
So ends.
Monday Dec. 16th, 1839.
First part light airs from the South and cloudy
Middle & Latter Hours the wind hauled to the
NE and pleasant Larboard watch on Liberty
this Day took on board 60 blls. of water and 2 [Tierces?] of Sand.
So ends.
